Description
What makes Himalayan crystal salt so amazing is that about 200 million years ago, the Earth held many crystallized sea salt beds covered with lava. The crystallized sea salt was then subsequently enveloped in snow and ice for millennia, it was protected naturally from modern-day pollution and preserved in an untouched, pristine and natural environment.
The Himalayan mountain range goes across Asia and passes through China, Nepal, Myanmar, Pakistan, Bhutan, Afghanistan, and India. Many people believe that this pink salt is the purest salt that can be found on the planet and that is the reason is costlier than common table salt.
It is not chemically processed like table salt and its crystals are often reddish, pink, off-white or transparent.
The Himalayan salt is very rich in minerals, some studies have found that this salt has more than 80 minerals including calcium (for bone health), iron (to transport oxygen), zinc (for immunity), iodine (to maintain a healthy metabolism) and selenium (for sperm health).
