Anjana Kal is also known as the Surma stone. In the ancient days, it is widely used for cosmetics and medicinal uses. People used this Surma to enhance the beauty of the eyes. The mother also applies this Anjana powder to their infant’s eyes for strengthening the child’s eyes. Kohl is also available in ultra-fine powder. Kohl Stone or Surma Stone is widely used in the Middle East, the Mediterranean, South Asia, and the Horn of Africa as eyeliner to contour and/or darken the eyelids and as mascara for the eyelashes. It is worn mostly by women, but also by some men and children.
